Jerome Siegel and Joseph Shuster are the creators of Superman. And as if you didn’t know: Shuster was a one time Toronto Daily Star delivery boy who emigrated to Cleveland at age 10. The skyline in the strip, known as Metropolis, is based on that of Toronto, and the original Clark Kent was a Toronto Daily Star employee. When DC Comics took Superman to international distribution, the Daily Star became the Daily Planet. DUO.CA hopes the estate of Jerome Siegel will appreciate our homage to feeling and being SUPER, as a result of wearing SUPER MAN underwear.

We anticipate our I'm wearing super man underwear buttons will make a guest appearance at the cartoonists convention in May. (Thanks Dave C. of Speed Bump Comic fame).

Consider the morale boost conferred by donning a really smashing dark blue suit, or power shoes that add swagger to your step. Super man underwear is simply a metaphor for all the good luck charms and personal talismans that boost belief in one's own self. Can objects take on symbolic value and supercharge you psychologically? Sure. Can you do more, or better, with belief in yourself? Of course!

Your talisman may be only a bit of cloth, a twist of metal or a piece of manufactured whatever. Even so, it has whatever power you choose to attribute to it. If it works for you - the talisman, charm, brand, image or super man underwear - then it works.
